i got the original star wars trilogy on dvd for christmas, and i'm only now getting around to watching them. as such, i'm only now getting around to realizing that i got the wrong thing... and it's far too late to return them. sigh.
the problem is i wanted the original 1977-1983 versions. what i got was the special editions with the added special effects and scenes and all that. personally, i find all that rather offensive and feel that it detracts from the original spirit of the movies. but some people really dug the new stuff. so... if you're one of those, and you'd like to have a brand new boxed set of the movies on dvd (2004 version), which includes a 4th special features disc in addition to the three films... let me know. they can be yours... for the low low price of whatever you want to offer. they're going for $20-$25 on ebay right now, but i'll gladly accept less from a friend who would save me the hassle of selling them on ebay ;)
