the length of time it took me remember how to log in here tells me that i have entirely too many usernames and passwords to remember. and that it's been entirely too long since i've logged in here. but i'm glad to see some new posts.
my inconsequential contribution for the day is this: if you're looking to share some of your musical or poetical or prose-ey talent (don't mind the new words i've created just there) i have an opportunity for you. and for any william wolfes (or is it wolves?) or scandinavians who might be interested... ample monitors could be arranged to enable you to hear each other adequately. but we don't mind the re-starting of songs.
anyway. getting to the point. the church many of us are involved in is hosting a coffeehouse night on april 26th, 2008. location is TBA but looking more and more like it will just be at the church. anyway... there will be music (i hope... that's where some of you might come in!) and open mic time for more music or poetry readings or prose readings, or tap dancing demonstrations or whatever you'd like. all of the above does not have to be religious in nature, it just has to be clean and appropriate (especially the tap dancing).
a new development is this: we'll be serving free starbucks coffee! (it helps to be dating a guy who used to work at starbucks and was very well liked by his manager. woot for connections!) so even if you don't come to participate... come to listen in... to play a game of scrabble... to just generally hang out. it should be a flat out good time. i'll keep you posted with more info as it comes.
that is all,
most sincerely,
looking forward to seeing everyone at spring break A.S.S.,
abby
